The Team:
New Norfolk Community nursing is a part of the Sub-acute Aged and community nursing service (SAACS) for Tasmanian health service (THS).
The New Norfolk team Provides high quality Nursing care in the rural community setting, with a strong teamwork approach, working with clients, carers and their families to deliver excellence in nursing in their environment achieving their goals in health care.
The Role:
Based at New Norfolk community Nursing Team Lower Ground, New Norfolk District Hospital, this role also requires working across sites which could include starting your day at either Central Highlands (Ouse), New Norfolk, and Midlands (Oatlands), involving home visits and clinic appointments.
This includes clinical nursing assessments, wound management, catheter care and palliative care.
You will need:
Current knowledge of, and the ability to apply nursing principles, procedures, and practices in the delivery of patient/client care in a designated practice area and in line with legal requirements and the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board (ANMB) National Competency Standards for the Registered Nurse.
Sound interpersonal and communication skills, including written skills and the ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Knowledge of continuous quality improvement (safety and quality) and the application of evidence-based practice in the practice setting.

Details of appointment:
Multiple fixed term part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working up to 64 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of approximately twelve (12) months.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata).
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type
