About the role Brisbane Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join our Perioperative team on a part time permanent basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided.
About us Set at the top of Wickham Terrace, Brisbane's busiest medical precinct, above the Roma Street Parklands in the heart of the CBD, Brisbane Private Hospital is an acute and rehabilitation hospital with 181 beds, 17 operating theatres and dedicated surgical, ICU and rehabilitation wards. Brisbane Private Hospital specialises in Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Spinal, ENT, Pain and Rehabilitation with additional specialties including Plastics, Urology, General Surgery, Gynaecology and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Brisbane Private Hospital also delivers a leading private drug and alcohol program, Damascus Health Services, from its dedicated drug and alcohol rehabilitation unit. As a Clinical Nurse Educator, your responsibilities will include: Identify educational needs by partnering with Nursing Leaders (i.e. DON, NUM, CNS) and Clinical Support Functions (i.e. Quality, Infection Control)Active development and implementation of learning plansNew staff orientation and skills assessment and trainingRegular implementation of in servicing for staffDemonstrated experience as a Clinical Nurse Educator - ideal but not essentialClinical facilitation and mentorship experience (desirable)Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalentCurrent Registration (no restriction) with AHPRACertificate IV Workplace Assessment & Training (TAE)Working with Children check (if relevant)Thorough knowledge of ACORN standards and current legislation (perioperative specific)Compliance with ACQSHC National standardsDemonstrated experience in eLearning platformsKnowledge of adult learning practises and contemporary education practisesHigh degree of computer literacy including MS OfficeSelf-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning teamHighly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focusedWhy Healthscope?When you join Healthscope, you become part of our Community of Care.
