The Registered Nurse - Clinical Facilitator applies nursing expertise and contemporary teaching and learning practice to facilitate the learning of students and novice or beginning nurses.
The Team: North West Regional Hospital is part of a network of hospitals in Tasmania. Our Emergency Department supports smaller services in our region and is supported by Launceston General Hospital and Royal Hobart Hospital. We have developed the Emergency Department Transition Program to support graduate nurses and nurses new to emergency nursing. This highly engaging six-month program has received credit from the University of Tasmania as a subject toward a Graduate Certificate in Emergency Nursing. You will be part of the team growing the next generation of emergency nurses.
The Role: As a Clinical Facilitator in the Emergency Department, you will support learners and work alongside junior staff as a mentor and coach across the roster.

Registered nurse with substantial Emergency Department nursing experience. Postgraduate qualifications relevant to the role are highly desirable.

Details of Appointment: Permanent, part-time shift worker position, working up to 16 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Notwithstanding, hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $96,558 to $102,908 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023 and Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Interim Agreement 2013. You'll have access to salary packaging benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type. Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria, including being registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times while employed in this role. It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change.
