Exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join the Department of Health!
The Team:The Department of Critical Care Medicine (DCCM) provides a tertiary level service, caring for over 1,400 patients annually. The DCCM delivers complex and multidisciplinary care to a broad range of patients including cardiac and cardio-thoracic surgery, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), neurosurgery, trauma, vascular surgery, burns, complex obstetrics, and general medical and surgical care.The RHH DCCM is a fast-paced and energetic environment with opportunities for staff involvement in various projects, clinical, and research opportunities. The DCCM has undergone redevelopment and expansion to meet the growing need for critical care services in Tasmania, with a new pod set to open in the coming months.
The Role:The Clinical Coach contributes to workplace activities and collaborates with the Nurse Unit Manager to achieve the service goals. Responsibilities include the Clinical Coach Portfolio, active involvement in clinical education, clinical leadership and management, and safety and quality initiatives. The Clinical Coach enhances positive client outcomes by facilitating the competence and confidence of novice clinicians through clinical coaching.
You will need:Current knowledge of and the ability to apply nursing/midwifery principles, procedures, and evidence-based practices in patient/client care, in accordance with legal requirements, the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA), Registered Nurse or Midwife Standards for Practice, and other relevant professional standards.Demonstrated ability to use clinical coaching principles to support the professional and clinical development of novice nurses and midwives.Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership to support the nursing or midwifery management team and to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.Details of appointment: Permanent part-time, shift worker position, working 48 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $99,455 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is in addition to this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife.Desirable criteria include:
Minimum of 4 years clinical experience in the relevant practice setting.Relevant postgraduate qualifications appropriate to the clinical area.Membership with the relevant professional organisation (e.g., Australian College of Nursing, Australian College of Midwives, ACORN, ACCCN).Note: Please refer to the Application Guide for more information on pre-employment checks.
