Registered Nurse (Charters Towers Health Service) , Queensland HealthTownsville Hospital and Health Service is the public healthcare provider for more than 250,000 people across a geographic area of 150,000km2, delivering a comprehensive range of services across 21 facilities, from primary care in regional locations to highly specialised care at the main hospital.
Charters Towers Health Service is a 23-bed facility located in Charters Towers, Queensland. The facility offers a variety of services to the community including accident and emergency care, general in-patient medical, surgical and paediatric services.
Eligible health workers who make the move to work with us may receive up to $70,000 in incentive payments under Scheme 2 of the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme (conditions apply). Permanent part-time, 60 hours per fortnight - Location: Charters Towers The Registered Nurse will provide direct nursing care utilising clinical skills, education and support to patients/clients and nursing staff within the Unit to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:
Ability to comprehensively assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care.Knowledge of legal and professional responsibilities.Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with the multidisciplinary team, patients and other stakeholders, including participation in relevant networks.High standard of written and oral communication skills within the multidisciplinary team, patients and their families.Ability to use or learn to use information systems appropriate to the position.Ability to provide clinical education and support and demonstrate own ongoing professional development.Ability to demonstrate competency as outlined in the NMBA - Registered nurse standards for practice.What's on offer:

Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.Highly Desirable: Experience in Emergency Department and a current Adult Life Support certificate.Adult Life Support certificate: Must be able to obtain and then maintain an annual competency in Advanced Life Support.This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.On call: Appointees may be required to participate in an on-call.Possession of class C drivers' licence.Probation period may apply.Pre-employment checks will be conducted.Please refer to the Role Description for further details.
