Churches of Christ are offering a generous Sign on and Retention cash bonus of up to $14000. You will be eligible for the following cash bonuses:
$2000 on sign on – paid after third fortnight $3000 after 6 months $4000 after 12 months $4000 after 24 months For part-time employees, this amount will be paid on a pro-rata basis based on the ordinary hours of work during the period. About the location This role is based in our 48-bed service in the town of Cardwell. Located in tropical North Queensland, Cardwell is home to Australia's largest National Park with golden beaches and tropical rainforests close by.
The importance of this role An opportunity for a permanent full-time Registered Nurse who is dedicated to providing the best care to our much-loved residents at our Rockingham Aged Care Service.
You will be responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of care to improve the quality of life for our residents. Your attention to detail, well-developed communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to understand and communicate with all our residents, their families and broader care team.
As a Registered Nurse you will:
Provide direct patient care, including providing medications and interventions. Liaise with a multidisciplinary team to develop, implement and monitor bespoke care plans. Monitor and document resident health status and progress and make referrals as needed. Educate families about health conditions and medications. Provide guidance and support to our team of dedicated care workers. About you You have a natural empathy for the elderly, a compassionate health care professional drawn to this line of work. With the ability to prioritise and manage workloads according to resident's needs, you are also able to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplined work team.
Experience and qualifications to thrive in this role should include:
Current registration as a registered nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Strong clinical knowledge and experience in Aged Care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care. Desirable: Having worked more than 6 months as an RN in an Australian RAC facility. Pre-requisite Current driver's licence Current National Police Certificate and NDIS Worker Screening Check – or the ability to acquire.
