Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery.
The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney's western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

An opportunity is now available for Registered Nurses to join the team in Cardiology.
This position is located at Nepean Hospital and on offer are Permanent Full time or Part time roles.

As a Registered Nurse with NBMLHD, you will ensure optimal outcomes for patients/clients and carers of the service through the promotion of best practice including the appropriate escalation of care and work collaboratively utilising effective team communication with members of the multidisciplinary health team in the planning, implementation, assessment, and evaluation of patient care.
This position will see you act as an advocate for the specific needs of all patients/clients and carers including those from the indigenous population or other multi-cultural groups providing appropriate care to the patient/client undergoing specialised procedures and always maintain and promote a professional standard evidenced by ethical nursing practice, adherence to the policies and procedures of the Nursing and Midwifery Service, NBMLHD and the appropriate legislation and statutory regulations.

Working as a part of the Cardiology team will allow you to meet the needs of staff, patients, and their families whilst working in a diverse team demonstrating CORE values whilst providing exceptional person-centered care.

What you will bring to the role:
Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) Demonstrated recent experience and clinical skill in Acute Care Nursing as a registered nurse (including Completion of a new graduate RN program or equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse) Demonstrated evidence of recent experience in Coronary Care Unit/Critical Care Nursing Able to perform effectively as a team member Demonstrated effective communication skills – written, verbal and eMR Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide person-centred care Ability to work flexible rotating roster including Mornings, Evenings and Night shifts 7 days a week #J-18808-Ljbffr
