The Royal Freemasons' Benevolent Institution (known as RFBI) is a non-for profit (NFP) organisation that has been in operation for 143 years. We currently operate 22 residential aged care villages, 20 retirement villages and a range of home and community services across NSW and ACT.
Position Information: We are currently seeking an experienced aged care Registered Nurse to join and lead our Day and Night Duty care team to aid RFBI Basin View Masonic Village aged care residence in having 24/7 Registered Nurse coverage.
This is an incredible leadership position, where you will advise and assist the care staff to provide the best care, tailored to suit the needs and preferences of our residents throughout the night. The role reports to the Care Manager.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Being responsible for ensuring high-quality care is delivered to residents.Evaluating and maintaining care plans to meet changing needs of residents.Throughout the day and night, undertake routine rounds and liaise with care staff on duty.Complete Initial Assessment and Interim Care plan for new admissions.Supervising and assisting other care employees to coordinate and deliver care.Providing complex clinical care including but not limited to: wound dressing; administration of medications; checking medication charts; condition assessments; and referrals.Entering reports and observations on the computer program iCare.Building and fostering partnerships with each resident, respecting and ensuring their dignity, and focusing on their health and wellbeing.What we look for: Registered Nurse DIV 1 - AHPRA Registered.2+ years previous experience in Aged Care.Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of iCare (desirable).Understanding of WHS responsibilities, including manual handling principles.Knowledge of Aged Care Legislation, Accreditation and ACFI will be highly regarded.Current First Aid Certificate.Must be eligible to work in Australia.Must be available both day and nights.What's on offer: Work for one of the best providers in the aged care sector.Attractive hourly rates.17.5% Annual leave loading.A friendly and supportive manager, culture & team.Opportunities for development and advancement in your career.Join us in our journey, apply now in the link below.
