Darwin Private Hospital Registered Nurse - Cardiac Catheter Lab Maternity Relief 12 months · Rare opportunity to join our Cath Lab team · Supportive and collaborative work environment Darwin Private Hospital is currently looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Cath Lab team. This position will initially be for 12 months with the possibility to extend. We are seeking applications from Registered Nurses with an interest in angiography.

The Cath Lab is a busy and dynamic unit which provides a variety of specialist services, including left and right heart procedures, angioplasty, implanted cardiac devices, cardiac electrophysiology, TOE Cardioversions and vascular interventions. Darwin Private Hospital is the only provider of private hospital services in the Northern Territory. As part of the Healthscope Group of Hospitals, it is a licenced 150 bed hospital providing a broad range of multi-day and day surgeries including, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive, Urology, Gastroenterology and ENT and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory. Our world-class private hospital attracts patients from across the greater Northern Territory, Western Australia, remote aboriginal communities and offshore. We are co-located with Royal Darwin Hospital and partner in delivering specialised care to patients from across the top end of Australia.
Experience in Angiography or coronary care is highly regarded but not essential for the right candidate. Our education program is well established and we will ensure your training needs are met. You'll be joining a strong, innovative team, and have the opportunity to flourish and grow.
As a Registered Cath Lab Nurse your responsibilities will include: · Deliver a safe, evidence-based standard of nursing care
· Actively participate in quality improvement, safety and risk management initiatives and improve patient care outcomes
· Work collaboratively with the Cath Lab and wider healthcare teams to support patient care needs
· Acting as a role-model for safe practice for the delivery of care in the Cath Lab setting
· Mentor Graduate Nurses and students on clinical rotation
Selection criteria: · Current Registration with AHPRA (no restrictions)
· Bachelor of Nursing Science equivalent
· Flexibility to work across a range of shifts and be on-call
· Commitment to continuous improvement and high quality patient care
· Proven ability to work effectively in a high functioning team
· Possess the desire, energy, motivation and initiative to work in a busy high acuity unit
· Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
· Sound computer skills
· Post Graduate Qualifications in Cardiac care or working towards (desired but not essential)
Remuneration: This position will be paid in accordance with the DARWIN PRIVATE HOSPITAL - NURSES AND MIDWIVES - ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT - 2021 – 2024 Salary range: $37.79 - $50.97 per hour plus allowances
