About the Opportunity
Umoona Tjutagku Health Service is looking for a full-time Registered Nurse and Practice Nurse/Nurse Practitioner based in Coober Pedy, SA.
In this role, you will report to the Clinic Manager/Coordinator and will be responsible for leading infection control, managing cold-chain logistics, and delivering high-quality clinical services to our clients. You'll also be supporting health programs focusing on chronic disease and maternal/child health.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Managing infection control measures within the organisation
Overseeing cold-chain management for vaccines and medical supplies
Assisting in the implementation of health and education programs
Providing clinical services in line with UTHSAC and professional standards
Supervising and training clinic staff and health workers
Ensuring patient records are managed confidentially in compliance with Privacy Legislation
Supporting occupational health and safety (OHS) initiatives
Assisting in maintaining accreditation standards (AGPAL and QIC)
About You
To qualify, you will need AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and at least 1 year of experience in a relevant role. Experience working in a community health setting and with Aboriginal communities will be highly regarded.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
Experience in chronic disease management and/or maternal and child health
Knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander social and health issues
Proficiency in patient information systems (e.g., Medical Director, Communicare)
Strong communication and leadership skills
