Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Anaesthetics department on a Part Time basis – 64 hours a fortnight, with a rotating roster including AM and PM shifts and an on-call requirement overnight and weekends.

Our Registered Nurse - Anaesthetics delivers exceptional, best practice nursing care to ensure excellent clinical outcomes and an industry-leading patient experience.
You will take a leadership role in the coordination of nursing care and work in partnership with Enrolled Nurses (ENs), providing supervision, direction, and guidance.

As a Registered Nurse - Anaesthetics your responsibilities will include: Deliver evidence-based nursing careLiaise with the multi-disciplinary teamEnsure patient and staff safetyProactively assess the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual/patientDocument into the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely, and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminologyCommunicate relevant patient information to other members of the intra-operative team, both nurses and doctorsAssist with intra-operative patient monitoring and ensure the patient's safety, comfort, and warmthWork directly with the anaesthetist for the duration of the procedure and assist with patient care as the patient emerges from the effects of anaesthesiaMinimum Requirements: Current Registration with AHPRAMinimum 1 year anaesthetic experience essentialPost Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards)Commitment to Quality Patient CareCompliance with ACSQHC National standardsSound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to work well independently and within a teamWhy Healthscope?
