Southern Adelaide Local Health Network – Flinders Medical Centre – Surgery & Perioperative MedicineSalary $74,831 - $102,103 RN1 (Pro Rata)We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Anaesthetics Team! The Anaesthesia Department provides anaesthesia services for most of the divisions at Flinders Medical Centre (FMC).
The expertise required of the staff is broader ranging than in any other hospital in South Australia.
It includes all surgical specialties, obstetrics, neonatal surgery, liver transplant, cardiac surgery, paediatric surgery and major trauma.
About the role: Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager in Anaesthetics, this role is responsible for providing complex care at the bedside of perioperative patients.
Duties for the role will include:
Plan and coordinate services with other disciplines or agencies in providing individual health care needs,Contribute to procedures for effectively dealing with people exhibiting challenging behaviours,Support nursing/midwifery practice and learning experiences for students undertaking clinical placements, orientation for new staff and preceptorship of graduates,Provide, with increasing capacity over time, support and guidance to newer or less experienced staff, Enrolled Nurses, student nurses and other workers providing basic nursing care.About you: Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate,Demonstrated competence in Anaesthetic nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards,Effective communication skills including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills,Ability to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting.Application Closing Date: 11.55 pm Tuesday 14 January 2025
