Prince of Wales Private Hospital is seeking experienced Anaesthetic Registered Nurses to join our Perioperative Team on a full-time basis, with part-time hours also considered for the right applicant.
This role will require availability for on-call participation.
About us Prince of Wales Private Hospital is a leading high-level tertiary healthcare facility that specialises in acute surgical and maternity services.
We are renowned for achieving outstanding patient outcomes across all of our services.
Our operating theatres consist of 11 theatres and 1 endoscopy suite which provides full elective sessions 6 days per week, including 24-hour on-call coverage.
Prince of Wales Private Hospital performs an average of 24,000 surgical cases and 2,000 births per year.
The casemix includes cardiothoracic, orthopaedic surgery, neurosurgery, Gynaecology, Urology, Reconstructive plastic surgery, general surgery, Ear, Nose and Throat, and vascular surgery.

As a Perioperative Registered Nurse – Anaesthetic your responsibilities will include: Undertake peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislationDeliver evidence-based nursing careLiaise with the multi-disciplinary teamEnsure patient and staff safetySupervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and AINs to deliver patient care (RN only)Proactively assess the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual/patientDocument into the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminologyMinimum Requirements: Current Registration with AHPRA2 years postgraduate RN – Anaesthetic experience in an acute perioperative environmentValid NSW Working with Children checkAvailability for participation in the On-call rosterCommitment to Quality Patient CareCompliance with ACQSHC National standardsSound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsWorks well independently and within a teamBasic computer skillsWhy Healthscope?A career with Healthscope means more.

If successful, your pay will be based on EBA 23 - Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF — NSW Nurses' & Midwives' Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024 with an hourly rate ranging between $35.46- $49.79 per hour.

Applicants will be required to provide a current National Police check, WWCC (where applicable) and Evidence of right to work in Australia prior to appointment.
Staff in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker.
