Now hiring in Toowoomba, we are looking for passionate, newly graduated nurses looking to take their career to the next level. The Aged Care Essentials Program provides a mentoring and supportive environment for you as a newly registered nurse to develop your skills and knowledge.
You'll get plenty of opportunities to springboard your career and keep building your experience for further career development.
Over our 12-month program, you'll complete a 'Transition to Professional Practice' (TPP) program that combines formal learning alongside preceptorship and practical clinical placement rotations in one of Bupa's 50+ aged care homes across Queensland, NSW, Victoria or South Australia.
Our program has specific focus on leadership with one quarter of the program dedicated to learning in this area.
Not only will you grow, but you'll learn how to empower others to deliver best quality care.
Bupa Aged Care Essentials program: The program commences in February 2025 and is designed to consolidate your clinical skills and leadership capability in a structured, supportive and caring environment whilst providing you with mentorship and exposure to the many rewarding facets of a nursing career in aged care.
We have four, 3-month long placements over 12 months, covering the following areas of nursing:
Assessment & care planning of the older personCaring for residents living with dementiaLeadershipBenefits of our Aged Care Essentials program: An expert Clinician who will serve as your on-site Mentor as well as regular virtual support provided by our Quality & Education TeamA network of fellow RN Graduate program participantsSupportive, dedicated experienced RNs to support and guide your early career developmentStructured education and professional developmentBe part of a global organisation, enhancing person first model of care into the futureCareer progression opportunities beyond your graduate yearWe set you up for success from the outset with our comprehensive Induction and Buddy Program to ease you into your new roleAbout you To be eligible for the program you will have the following:
Bachelor of Nursing, with an AHPRA registrationHigh level interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsClinical knowledge and problem-solving abilitiesSolid understanding of the professional, ethical and legal requirements of the roleWell-developed time management skillsAble to commit to the 12-month duration of the ProgramBe at the Heart of It – your new team is ready to welcome you!
