The Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 2 (RPN2) will be a valued member of the Kerferd Unit team and provide specialist mental health nursing care including mental health and physical assessment, monitoring response to biological treatments, therapeutic nursing engagement, psychoeducation, collaboration and partnering. The RPN2 will contribute to excellence in mental health consumer care outcomes and provide a high standard of clinical input to the multidisciplinary team. We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity: Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioners Agency) Specialist psychiatric nursing undergraduate qualification or a Bachelor of Mental Health Nursing, OR, holds a Bachelor of Nursing qualification and a Postgraduate Diploma Mental Health Nursing qualification, OR, holds a Bachelor of Nursing and is suitably progressing toward qualifying for a Postgraduate Diploma Mental Health Nursing Demonstration of safe and effective communication techniques for interacting with individuals experiencing mental health issues Demonstrated understanding of therapeutic principles related to person-centred care and mental health, including therapeutic communication, early intervention, trauma informed practice, partnering with consumers and families, strengths-based care planning, holding hope, personal recovery, culturally sensitive practices and enhancing resilience Employment Type: This is a full-time permanent opportunity.
