Exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join the Department of Health!
The Team: 8A Day Chemotherapy Unit is a busy, vibrant Haematology/Oncology Day unit.
We are open 7 days a week including public holidays and are the statewide referral center for Stem Cell Reinfusion.
We provide world-class, gold standard cancer treatments across all treatment modalities and also participate in international drug trials.
We provide apheresis services for the south of the state.
Be part of a dynamic, well-supported teamFocus on ongoing professional and career developmentThe Role: To deliver comprehensive nursing care to Oncology/Hematology day patients.
This includes administering chemotherapy and immunotherapy, administering blood products, assisting in related medical procedures, and thorough patient assessment plus patient education.
You will need: Current knowledge of, and the ability to apply nursing principles, procedures, and practices in the delivery of patient/client care in a designated practice area and in line with legal requirements and the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board (NMBA) Registered Nurse standards for practice.Sound interpersonal and communication skills, including written skills and the ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.Knowledge of continuous quality improvement (safety and quality) and the application of evidence-based practice in the practice setting.Ability to undertake patient/client education in the practice setting, together with a commitment to participate in ongoing professional development.Details of appointment: Multiple permanent, part-time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working up to 64 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary: $78,179-$105,995 per annum (Pro rata).
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annumAccess to the Grade 4 salary range $96,558 - $102,908 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification typeBenefits available to eligible candidates: Professional development and accelerated pathways.Excellent leave benefits: 20 days annual leave (pro rata), 20 days personal leave (pro rata), and study assistance leave if eligible.Fitness Passport – You and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $13.95 per week per person, or $25.95 for a family.Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
