The Role: Strengthen health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals.
The Ward:Ward 5B is a 32-bed surgical ward. We care for a range of surgical patients undergoing Orthopaedic, Plastic and Reconstructive, Gynaecological, General, Breast, and Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery.The staff on 5B believe in a multidisciplinary team approach to health care that places the needs of our patients and their families/carers first through communication and collaboration to facilitate a safe discharge from hospital.We provide a supportive environment for learners and place a heavy focus on teamwork to assist in facilitating the needs of our busy surgical ward.Details of appointment:Fixed term, part time, shift worker position, working up to 56 hours per fortnight, as soon as possible until 13 December 2025. Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary:$75,902 - $102,908 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $96,558 - $102,908 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
