Strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals.
The Team: The George Town District Hospital and Community Services provide 15 acute care beds, physiotherapy, dental and podiatry services, and other visiting providers. Other services provided by the Hospital include Palliative care, Community Nursing, Home Help/Personal Care.Nursing quarters are available, co-located on site for staff to utilise with shared kitchen and bathroom amenities.George Town Hospital is approximately a 35-minute drive from Launceston, centrally located, close to supermarkets/eateries and a five-minute drive to the beaches of Low Head.The Role: In collaboration with members of the healthcare team plan, implement and evaluate patient/client care.Interact effectively with patients'/clients' families and other health team members to facilitate the provision of optimum patient/client care.Active involvement in maintaining and continually improving the quality of patient/client care. This may include participation in research and evidence-based practice.The RN is responsible to and receives guidance and support from the Nurse Unit Manager/Nurse Manager and other senior experienced Registered Nurses for initiating, implementing and evaluating quality nursing and midwifery care.Details of appointments: Multiple Permanent, part-time, shift worker position, working up to 54 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as you can join the team. Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $75,902 to $102,908 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023 and Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Interim Agreement 2013.You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $96,558 - $102,908 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4.Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of an additional salary allowance of 4%.Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
