Registered Nurse (505050) - Roy Fagan Centre

Details of the offer

Are you a Registered Nurse searching to be a part of impactful change?

We are seeking a permanent Registered Nurse to join us at the Roy Fagan Centre, Older Persons Mental Health Service (OPMHS), a specialised facility located a short drive from the centre of Hobart.

Older Persons Mental Health involves a unique combination of physical and mental health care.
You will have the opportunity to develop a variety of skills from wound and diabetes care, optimising mental wellbeing, helping people to feel safe, calm and oriented, through to end of life care.

Broaden your professional experience with our CARE values driven approach (Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence), and work in a multidisciplinary team with like-minded people where you can improve the lives of older people.

OPMHS is currently under reform, and while we know change can be challenging, this is an opportunity to make a valuable contribution and feel the reward of working in a centre that continues to grow and nurture mental health supports for vulnerable members of our community.
What is more important than that?

Complete all required clinical documentation, including assessments, risk assessment, transfer of care, relevant clinical correspondence, and clinical data collection, within specified timeframes, predominantly via electronic consumer records systems.
Under general direction, actively participate in research and quality improvement activities that are expected to advance the practice of nursing, including the use of the National Standards for Mental Health Services.
Contribute to a strong team approach through open communication by participating in team meetings and committees that enhance the function of the Unit, consumer care and teamwork.
