We are seeking Registered Nurses to strengthen health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families, and other health professionals.

The Role: Provide expert, patient-centred nursing care in a high-pressure Emergency Department setting.Deliver advanced clinical care for critically ill or injured patients, including trauma, cardiac, and paediatric emergencies.Safely manage deteriorating patients with prompt interventions.Collaborate with the care team for comprehensive critical care management.Manage multiple patient presentations simultaneously in a dynamic and unpredictable environment.The Team: The Emergency Department team at Launceston General Hospital (LGH) consists of highly skilled emergency physicians, nurses, paramedics, and support staff who collaborate to provide urgent and life-saving care to the community. The team utilises advanced medical protocols to assess, stabilise, and treat patients with acute conditions, ranging from trauma to medical emergencies. Working closely with other departments and community health services, they ensure timely escalation and transfer of critical patients to appropriate care levels.
Details of appointment: Multiple permanent full-time and part-time, shift worker (fully rotational) positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed date.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $75,902 to $102,908 per annum. Our employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023You'll have access to salary packaging and a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $96,558 - $102,908 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full-time for three years or more, on top of the relocation allowance already available.In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
