We are seeking a Registered Nurse to strengthen health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families, and other health professionals.

The Role: The Registered Nurse:
Fosters a culture of learning by acting as a positive role model and leadership for all staff in areas of professional development.Facilitates evidence-based, patient-centred education for staff.Supports staff with compliance of National Standard Mandatory Training requirements.Undertakes audits and evaluation of results and complies Action Plans.Identifies risks, reporting, and is actively involved in risk mitigation strategies and the Safety Reporting Learning System.The Team: Ward 5D is a 32 bed General Medicine Ward specialising in Haematology and Oncology Care and the delivery of inpatient cancer therapies for the North and North-West of Tasmania.In collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), undertakes Nursing assessments, contributes to planning, and coordinates the delivery of services of admitted patients to Ward 5D.Actively incorporates teaching, practice-based research, and quality activities within the role to improve standards of care.Details of appointment: Permanent, part-time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working 64 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed date.

Salary: $75,902 to $102,908 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $96,558 - $102,908 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4.Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full-time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available.Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.Benefit available to eligible candidates: Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees.Professional development and accelerated pathways.Excellent leave benefits: 20 days annual leave (pro rata), 20 days personal leave (pro rata), and study assistance leave if eligible.Fitness Passport – You and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $13.95 per week per person, or $25.95 for a family.Eligibility: Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
