Join the Women's and Children's/Thomson Unit at Latrobe Regional Health, where a 'world of opportunities awaits'. Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is currently seeking dedicated professionals to join our team. The successful candidates will work across all areas of midwifery including Birthing Suites, Maternity Assessment, and postnatal and antenatal clinic, and who are passionate about providing quality women-centred care, whilst enjoying working within a high functioning, friendly team. We offer a range of employment options including full-time and part-time positions with EFT negotiable to suit your lifestyle. We will endeavour to accommodate your needs regarding a work-life balance and can schedule shifts ranging from four (4) to twelve (12) hours to accommodate your individual needs.

Our Women's and Children's services has entered an exciting new era. In March this year, our cutting-edge 3A hospital expansion was opened which increased our capacity with additional birth suits, maternity inpatient beds, a 24/7 Maternity Assessment Unit, and a Special Care Nursery for up to 12 babies. LRH are also pioneering innovative midwifery models of care, including the imminent launch of a Midwifery Group Practice (MGP). About our Thomson Unit Our Thomson Unit is a comprehensive hub, providing maternity services. As a Level 5 Maternity Service, and Level 4 Special Care Nursery, LRH is a referral service for smaller Gippsland regional maternity services, delivering 900 babies a year and providing the highest level of care.
About you Ideal candidates for this role will have:
Current Registration or eligibility for Registration as a Registered Midwife (Division 1) with AHPRA.Recent competent clinical experience in all aspects of midwifery care.High level written and verbal communication and the use of information technology.Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.Detailed knowledge and understanding of risk management, safety and quality principles.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.A women-centred approach to Midwifery Care.Commitment to excellence in practice.Ability to embrace and contribute to a learning culture.How to apply Join us in our mission to provide exceptional healthcare services to our community.
