8 Hours Per Week - Permanent Part-Time $41.17 - $50.68 per hour + Salary Packaging About the role: Maternity Outpatients is located offsite at 1011 Mair St Ballarat and provide antenatal care, lactation clinics, childbirth education and domiciliary care.
Rostering may include some weekends, however mostly hours of operation are 0830-1700hrs, Monday to Friday, (Saturday and Sunday - Domiciliary care and some Childbirth education) Be responsible for providing best practice standards of midwifery care and service delivery Plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based midwifery care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team Domiciliary Care: Care in the home for Mothers and Neonates and Childbirth education provided Key Responsibilities Actively engage in opportunities to consider innovations in midwifery practice/research and models of care Support the Nurse Unit Manager and the team to review and evaluate best practice evidence based clinical care Contribute to and practice collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team Engage and communicate with all members of the Maternity Outpatients team and allied health clinicians Skills and experience Be eligible for registration as a Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and hold a current Practicing Certificate Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with experience as a midwife Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff at all levels within the organisation Recent antenatal care experience desired To see a full copy of the Position Description please click here Interested?
