This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Midwife to join our team.
The Midwifery Group Practice operates a seven-day service, 24 hours.
Midwifery Group Practice operates as an all risk model for women.
The caseload midwife will work in a small partnership of 4-6 midwives providing midwifery care to a defined group of women throughout the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods.
Caseload Midwives work within the Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) which may consist of several partnerships.
Caseload midwives provide all antenatal and postnatal care by conducting appointments either at the woman's home, community clinics or hospital within a defined geographic boundary for a defined group of women.
Caseload midwives practice collaboratively alongside the Ipswich Hospital midwives, Obstetric and Neonatal team.
The caseload will equate to an employee working 38 hours per week, that is, a full-time midwife, and will be based on a full-time midwife providing full care for up to 40 clients in a 12-month period, pro rata for a part time midwife.
About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated competence in midwifery practice in accordance with relevant standards with at least 1-year fulltime post midwifery registration experience.Experience in problem solving, negotiation and conflict management.Consistently and enthusiastically delivers high levels of patient service to exceed patients' expectations.Supports and respects team members, communicating effectively and demonstrating a commitment to the team.Demonstrates strong self-management skills, a commitment to nursing/midwifery and flexibility to adapt to unexpected changes.Knowledge of and a demonstrated commitment to quality processes and evidence based practices, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to these improvements.Demonstrates honesty, integrity and respect for all patients, carers and staff.Mandatory Requirements: Registered midwife with at least 1 year current practice across all areas.
