Registered Midwife – Aboriginal Maternal Infant Health Service (AMIHS)About The Role The Aboriginal Maternal Infant Health Service (AMIHS) aims to improve the health and wellbeing of mothers and Aboriginal babies. The AMIHS Midwife provides comprehensive antenatal and postnatal care to women who identify as Aboriginal or having an Aboriginal baby within Dubbo. The Midwife works closely with the Aboriginal Health practitioner to ensure their care is culturally sensitive and supportive of all needs.
This community-based role works within a primary health care model to enhance the woman's pregnancy journey.
