Exciting opportunity for a Registered Midwife to join the Department of Health!
The Role: The Registered Midwife strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate midwifery care in partnership with women, their families and other health professionals.
Maternity Services, Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) The RHH is the tertiary referral centre for Tasmania, we have around 2000 births each year. Our graduate program will give you the opportunity to consolidate your knowledge across antenatal clinic, antenatal inpatient cares, pregnancy assessment, labour and birth, inpatient postnatal care, community based postnatal care and lactation services. Opportunity to work within and learn from a dynamic multidisciplinary team that is passionate about supporting early career midwives. Details of appointment: Fixed term, part-time, shift-worker position working 64 hours per fortnight, various commencement dates for a period of 6 months.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $75,902 - $102,908 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023 You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum Access to the Grade 4 salary range $96,558 - $102,908 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4 Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type. Benefit available to eligible candidates: Professional development and accelerated pathways. Excellent leave benefits: 20 days annual leave (pro rata), 20 days personal leave (pro rata), and study assistance leave if eligible. Fitness Passport – You, and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $13.95 per week per person, or $25.95 for a family.
