People First Community Care – Mount Gambier SAPeople First Community Care PTY LTD are seeking casual Enrolled and Registered nurses for complex support needs.Part and Full Time Contracts will be extended for applicants who fit into the PFCC PTY LTD team and demonstrate empathy, a caring attitude, competency and confidence within their role.General Duties Include:Providing quality nursing care to our participants and ensuring a high standard of services are delivered.Medication administration including checks and counts.Assisting with daily living activities, including preparing and providing meals to participants, some of which require assistance with eating.Turning, repositioning, and ambulating participants.Pressure sore management and overseeing other wounds which must be immediately reported to upline.Providing plenty of fresh water, as well as extra nourishment between meals.Assisting participants with personal hygiene, including changing continence aids, providing bed baths, showering, and other general personal hygiene tasks.Providing wound care support to participants.Checking vital signs and recording daily (and shift) information in the appropriate documents/forms/logs.Assisting other nurses and staff as needed.Adhering to professional standards, following policies and procedures, and abiding by federal, state, and local requirements.Contributing towards the assessment of the needs of our participants.Catheter and bowel care management.Ensuring professional communication with all stakeholders, such as residents, families, and your team.Ability to provide detailed handovers at the end of each shift.The suitable Applicant will have:A diploma or Bachelor in Nursing and registration with AHPRA.Experience as an Enrolled Nurse and prior work in an aged care environment.An empathetic nature and commitment to supporting the needs of people with disabilities.Senior First Aid certification.DCSI Screening.A positive attitude and ability to maintain friendly work relationships with all team members.
