The University of Newcastle Department of Rural Health is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Regional Training Hub (RTH) Officer to provide vital administrative support for the effective operation of the North West NSW Regional Training Hub. This role is integral to implementing initiatives that enhance training and career opportunities for junior doctors within the Peel, Tablelands, and Manning Rural Clinical Schools.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the coordination of projects and programs aimed at rural medical workforce recruitment and retention. Assisting in organising and supporting training courses, events, and meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and taking minutes. Maintaining accurate data entry within university systems for timetabling, clinical placement documentation, and student records. Facilitating distribution and collection of assessments and feedback forms for program activities. Serving as a first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors, managing inquiries and delivering excellent customer service. Collaborating with medical students, junior doctors, healthcare providers, universities, government entities, and other stakeholders. Working as a team to oversee reception duties, general office tasks, and ensure efficient use of office resources and systems. Arranging travel, processing orders, maintaining organized storage, and supporting event logistics such as room bookings and catering. This Fixed Term position is full time at a HEW4 Higher Education Level located at Department of Rural Health Manning Education Centre in Taree with one day per week at our Port Macquarie Office. Travel between Taree and Port Macquarie will be conducted within scheduled work hours and using fleet vehicles.
