The Opportunity We are seeking someone passionate about both education and community, to deliver St John-endorsed courses to Country Ambulance volunteers and transport officers.
The goal is to develop confident and competent responders for the South West region of WA.
Courses are delivered across the region, with a flexible base of operations for the right candidate.
Full training will be provided, with previous St John experience highly desirable but not essential; professional trainers are encouraged to apply.
This role requires a level of physical fitness sufficient to perform CPR for 2 minutes continuously, and to lift and move training equipment as required.
Key outcomes for a Regional Training Facilitator: Deliver efficient and effective training and development to volunteers and paid clinical staff (Transport Officers) within the South West region.
Complete course reports as required to measure the effectiveness of the training activities and performance of trainees.
Proactively engage with regular updates to ensure the ongoing quality and accuracy of training courses, utilising resources provided by St John WA Clinical Education.
Assist with the maintenance of training equipment and training areas.
Mentor newer Regional Training Facilitators.
Support Volunteer Development Officers (VDOs) in their own delivery of quality training.
Essential Selection Criteria Current Open Class Western Australia Drivers Licence.
Flexible availability to meet training requirements, mainly at weekends.
Ability to travel to various locations in the South West region to deliver courses.
Desirable Selection Criteria Current Provide First Aid certificate, or equivalent experience.
Existing volunteer status with St John WA Certificate IV Training and Assessment or equivalent experience.
Experience working with volunteers and/or volunteer organisations.
