As Regional Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for maximizing the sales potential within your designated area of responsibility by cultivating strong relationships with existing customers, driving brand awareness, and identifying new customer prospects across existing and new distribution networks. You will be required to be the face of the brand in your region and effectively represent the Hurtigruten brand to the travel industry and the public. Sales Managers strive for successful execution of their sales plan and achievement of the passenger/revenue objectives/goals.
The APAC head office is in Melbourne, and this role is best placed in Brisbane or Sydney.
We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager that wants to join us and is good at:
Maintaining effective strategic relationships with partners, front line staff, executives, marketing, and sales teams.Maintaining and managing applicable sales agreements, including reporting, commissions, back-end incentives, and marketing plans.Setting targets, developing, coordinating, and implementing annual sales/marketing plans with key accounts using a customized approach to address the specific needs of each partner.Ensuring ROI is monitored and maximized.Strengthening relationships and achieving growth with key and new preferred accounts through regular sales contact and informative updates, while offering sales assistance when appropriate.Providing detailed in-house and offsite webinar product & sales training.In cooperation with fellow sales team members, developing and implementing an effective sales plan for training, educating, and servicing all members of the partner organizations.Co-organizing and hosting client (consumer) presentations and product information sessions.Escorting familiarization trips for travel agents/media/partners as necessary.Providing strategic input and leadership to a local and global group of fellow peers within the sales team members.Ensuring that marketing collateral is utilized to its full potential.Identifying and developing new business opportunities through direct and trade channels.Evaluating ROI of potential trade and consumer activities and committing where beneficial.Continually identifying new opportunities that would be beneficial to the brand.Staying abreast of competitor activities and general trends within the industry.Delivering an accurate detailed weekly sales report.Actively seeking, fostering, and closing group business; coordinating with the group sales manager & providing relevant assistance throughout the process.Managing your region's T&E budget and co-op marketing funds in the most cost-effective way delivering the highest return.Other duties as required and assigned.Ability to thrive in a highly driven fast-moving growth environment.Accountable and able to target and achieve results, set challenging goals, show energy and react to opportunity, instill urgency in others, and meet deadlines.Ability to negotiate effectively in a positive manner; ability to compromise and find alternate solutions, seek common ground, articulate own and others' goals, stay focused on positive outcomes.Planning and Organization - able to develop detailed sales/marketing plans aligned with company goals, manage time and workflow well, create effective sales call plans, monitor and respond to competition timely, work systematically/efficiently, manage distractions and interruptions.Learning/Problem Solving - able to understand the issue and underlying causes, apply new information quickly, and solve problems creatively.Customer Focus - able to build customer confidence, set achievable customer expectations, assume responsibility for solving customer problems, ensure commitments to customers are met, and solicit opinions and ideas from customers. Overnight and some overseas travel may be required.Academic and Professional Qualifications: College Degree or job experience equivalent required, 5+ years sales and customer service experience required.3+ years travel industry experience preferred.Additional Knowledge: Proficiency in MS Office (especially PowerPoint), LCD/data projection, Internet, and webinar applications.Ability to make good use of web tools and in-house technical resources, adapt to new technology, learn new programs quickly, and use computers to improve productivity.Able to deliver effective presentations to consumers and agents, engage as a credible trainer, and is an efficient communicator of the brand's core sales messages - required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
