Regional Partnership Coordinator (Barwon) Fixed tem role: Until 30 September 2024Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)Usual work location: Geelong (flexibility may be available)The Role Reporting to the Manager Regional Development, the Regional Partnership Coordinator will coordinate support for the Barwon Partnership and its work program to achieve better outcomes for the region's economy, communities, and environment.
The responsibilities of the Regional Partnership Coordinator will include, but are not limited to:
Initiate, maintain and manage strong relationships in the region – within and across other state government departments, local governments, community organisations, business, industry advisory groups.Co-ordinate delivery of the Partnership's business and work across RDV's regional and metro offices to support contemporary approaches to good governance and stakeholder engagement.Maintain key communications tools, including managing online activity, content and reporting for website and social media, and contribute to the development of media releases and other internal and external communications.The Team The position of Regional Partnership Coordinator (Barwon) forms part of Regional Development Victoria (RDV). 
 Regional Development Victoria (RDV) is the Victorian Government's lead agency in developing rural and regional Victoria. With a focus on facilitating stronger communities utilising an evidence-based approach RDV acts as a partner and investor to provide rural and regional Victoria with better infrastructure, facilities, and services; strengthen the economic and social base of communities; create jobs and improve career opportunities for regional Victorians; and support local project development and planning.
About You The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:
Stakeholder management: Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Identify and responds to stakeholders' underlying needs; uses understanding of the stakeholder's organisational context to ensure outcomes are achieved; and finds innovative solutions to resolve stakeholder issues.Stakeholder engagement: Proven understanding of business and community engagement practices and principles and practices and proven experience in working with rural and regional Victorian stakeholders. Ability to identify issues in common and uses to build mutually beneficial partnerships and outcomes.Media and communications: Proven ability to manage online media activity; develop and deliver communication plans and prepare of content for media releases, websites and social media channels within in tight lines whilst complying with department and government communications and media guidelines.Further Information For a confidential discussion, please contact Meg Bullen Manager, Regional Development (Barwon) on 0418 589 056 or ****** .
