As an inspired member of the Petstock Group, where we are inspired by pets to grow as people, we have established ourselves as retail market leaders across the pet care industry over the past 20 + years!We are on the lookout for a strong leader who is a true retailer, who lives and breathes retail and has honed their skills in various leadership roles and is now ready to take that next step.Here is what you can expect to be doing day to day when you join our fun, friendly & inclusive team!A day in the life…Lead & guide your team to achieve sales/KPIs & deliver world class customer service in their store.Visit stores, providing feedback to assist with the ongoing improvement and success of their store.Actively work with Store Managers in promoting induction and relevant training opportunities with their team.Support stores with recruitment where required.Assist your Store Managers with stock & margin management along with stocktake, ensuring it is completed as directed by the Loss & Risk team.Coach and mentor key staff to provide development and succession opportunities.Support your Store Managers to recruit, onboard, and induct high calibre new Team Members.Monthly reporting/New store business cases where required.Analyse in detail any opposition's stock mix, by product, volume, supplier, and presentation to assist the Merchandise team in determining the appropriate stock mix and volume.Maintain a strong safety mindset with a commitment to creating a culture of safety within your team.What We Need…Experience in retail management of multiple sites.Demonstrated success in building sales and people management across multiple sites.High degree of business & financial acumen.Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets across a defined region and number of stores.Strong safety mindset with a commitment to create a culture of safety within your team.Ability to be flexible in order to meet changing work conditions.Ability to prioritise and manage conflicting priorities.Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.A commitment to represent the interests of Petstock in areas related to the business, branding, and animal care.In this role, you will be someone who supports your team and region, providing expertise, exceptional customer service, more value to the customer, and taking more care of our pet customers and their families.
