With over 25 years of experience in the industry, the organisation is dedicated to participant care, health, safety, and well-being.About the Role:The position of Regional Manager – North Queensland is a critical operations role at Direct Care Resources.
The Regional Manager is responsible for managing care planning and practice for our clients and Support Workers to deliver the highest standard of care to those who need it most.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Provide high-quality, professional care management, planning, and practice to a case management portfolio in North Queensland, reporting to the General Manager – Operations.Complete stakeholder engagement, including central liaison, communication, and coordination with client clinical, medical, and allied health professionals.Coordinate and apply workforce management across the Support Worker team, working closely with centralized rostering for shift placement and movement.Prepare and produce all required reporting, including incident reporting, Forensic orders, Client Needs Assessments, Care Plans, provider reports, and other items as required.Coordinate appointments and training requirements for clients and staff.Responsible for environmental management, including SIL house, DCR offices, and amenities.Problem-solving and resolution, including regional on-call duties.Coordinate team meetings and staff training within budgets and requirements.Manage assets, including fleet vehicles, maintenance, and coordination.Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.Conduct regular supervision and training for Support Workers and prepare appropriate reports and documentation.Represent DCR at hearings of the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) in matters associated with guardianship, financial administration, and restrictive practices, and other relevant client issues falling within the jurisdiction of the Tribunal.Maintain compliance with a variety of governing bodies.The successful candidate will possess:Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Nursing, Human Services, Social Work, Special Education, or similar fields.
