Position Type: Full time
Salary: $125k - $126k p.a. + Relocation + vehicle
We are currently recruiting a passionate leader to oversee our diverse community services in Alice Springs and resource place-based, outreach and capacity building activities across the broader Central Australian and Barkly regions. They will mentor senior staff, sustain teams, lead projects, and manage regional performance. There will be some travel required for the role.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure services provided and capacity building activities are professional, responsive, adhere to regulations and are adapted to place, person centred, culturally safe, trauma informed and inclusive. Ensure services are of high quality, outcome focused and accountable and that client / consumer and participant input and advisory mechanisms are embedded and meaningful. Supervise and support line reports - monitor workloads and wellbeing, undertake performance reviews, enable professional development, approve rosters and leave applications in a timely manner. Promote staff wellbeing and regional team building initiatives and support senior staff in the execution of their duties, management of staff and coordination of volunteers and engagement with NT wide program streams. Ensure staff operate within their scope of practice and in accordance with policies and procedures, approved service delivery models, practice guidelines, registration requirements and nationally recognised standards. Provide strategic input and assist with writing proposals / tenders and grants to increase funding for existing services and to secure funding for new services, complimentary projects and or extension activities. Maintain strong multilayered relationships and profile with key government agencies, non-government organisations, Aboriginal Controlled Organisations and potential sponsors within the region/s. About You
Completed tertiary qualification in human services, Social Work or similar Eligibility for registration / membership with relevant professional body. Extensive direct case work / service coordination and operational management experience in the community services sector Demonstrated previous experience of multidisciplinary teams, sites and diverse activities. Insights into the challenges, opportunities and approaches required to strengthen and inform regional and remote service systems, planning processes, partnerships and service models. An inspiring engaged leader with recognised expertise and a commitment to regional development, social justice, the role of Aboriginal Controlled organisations, community engagement and capacity building approaches. Demonstrated supervision and people management skills with an authentic orientation towards collaboration with a strong record of enabling teams (managers and their staff) to perform well. Experience in strategy formation, planning, national service standards, monitoring contract performance and meeting targets and outcome requirements. Strong writing, ICT and administrative skills with demonstrated experience in data systems, feedback processes and a record of authoring successful proposals and performance reports. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to represent to stakeholders and to establish partnership approaches. Salary & Benefits
SCHADS Level 8.1 $125,268.75 p/a + Super + Salary packaging option and 5 weeks annual leave. A vehicle is also included in the package + $6K relocation.
