The role The Regional Manager ensures that the Dementia Support Australia (DSA) service is tailored to the needs of individual clients and ensures the service delivers on its key performance indicators.
This role is offered as a secondment / Temporary position up until December 2025 working out of a DSA office location. Start date will be from January 2025.
Responsibilities Provide professional, capable and aligned leadership for the DSA service utilising HammondCare's Mission and Mission In Action. Establish and maintain clinical supervision, governance and behaviour management systems as part of a national team, with a local and borderless service delivery ethos. Ensure the service meets its administrative, financial, risk and quality and reporting goals of the DSA program through a team-based approach. Significant stakeholder engagement during start up and ongoing with key stakeholders in State Government, the aged care sector and acute care sector leadership teams to provide details on the program, ensuring smooth partnerships for service delivery, problem solving as needed and ongoing engagement during program delivery. Supporting Team Leaders to manage stakeholder engagement at the service level through local management in aged care and hospital settings. Support the National Program Manager, Team Leaders and Clinical Lead to develop strategic plans for each State and be part of the solution to continuous improvement of service delivery. Manage and motivate the service delivery team and ensure they are service and missionally aligned. Leadership on the utilisation of data management and reporting systems and ICT platforms to support and enhance service delivery. Provide high levels of service quality through clinical supervision, governance and behaviour management role modelling. Support the National Management structure to provide line management and clinical governance to DSA. What do we need from you? Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare's Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action. Tertiary qualifications in Nursing / Allied Health or a Health-related degree. Desirable evidence of study and or qualifications in dementia. Eligibility for registration as a Health Practitioner in Australia (AHPRA). Demonstrated high level experience and knowledge in supporting older people and carers living with dementia, with particular emphasis on psycho-social approaches to case management. Previous experience working at a senior level in a multi-disciplinary or multi-site environment including budgeting skills, systems thinking, IT systems experience. Strong ability to manage, motivate and develop a team and effectively work with other staff. Willingness to travel intra and interstate. Given this program is in start up phase, this could involve travel away every month. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. High level communication and interpersonal skills, particularly between industry and government. Strong planning and organising skills with the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Good customer management skills for delivery of services to HammondCare and external customers. Strong administrative and computer skills.
