About the opportunity: This is an important role in which you will lead and manage regional logistics in accordance with national and global logistics requirements and initiatives. You will ensure safe and compliant transport activities and operate and manage a fleet that provides best service safely in the most efficient manner at the lowest cost. You will also identify opportunities to strengthen Holcim's logistic capability including insourcing with company trucks and fleet decarbonisation.
As a member of the VicSA Aggregate Leadership Team, you will work closely with the Sales, Operations, and functional teams to help develop and deliver the overall business strategy.
Further and detailed responsibilities are found in the Position Description which is available upon request and will include: Safety & Compliance Active participation and leadership to deliver safe performance of drivers & the fleet, including CoR compliance.Maintaining high safety standards and culture by embedding safety and compliance processes through safe systems of work (SHEMS).Compliance with all relevant safety, health, and environmental legislation.Ensuring a high level of customer service & logistics efficiency through tight coordination with the Customer Service Centre Team.Delivering agreed KPI's focusing on truck availability & utilisation, and delivered cost.Driving cost efficiency through maximising utilisation with CSC and truck availability.Sustainability & Opportunity Fleet transition to reduce Scope 3 emission as per Global & HANZ requirements.Overseeing a fleet configuration to meet demand whilst managing business risk and logistic efficiency.About you: Relevant tertiary qualifications (preferred).Substantial experience in Heavy Vehicle Logistics.Construction/ Building Material Logistics Industry experience (preferred not essential).Experience with contracted fleets (preferred).Experience managing a blue-collar workforce.Solid, practical skills and knowledge in developing operational performance and capability.Understanding of Work Health & Safety Systems and Chain of Responsibility Compliance requirements.Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, and other systems required to do the role.Why Holcim?
