The Regional Inspector has a critical leadership role in the PGI, leading and managing a team of diversely skilled senior inspectors delivering regulatory activities, incident response, investigations, and standards development.
This role can be based in Toowoomba, Dalby, Brisbane, or Gold Coast with travel throughout the region and state regularly required.
Whilst this is an investigatory and enforcement role, you will also be required to represent RSHQ at all levels across the petroleum and gas industries, employers and employees, RSHQ and the public.
To be considered for this exceptional career opportunity, it is expected you will possess:

Demonstrated leadership experience and expertise in the upstream oil and gas industry (ideally in Queensland) Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications in engineering, oil and gas, or health and safety Demonstrated experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams across a regionally dispersed area and managing remote work, shift work, emergency response and afterhours rostering.
Demonstrated ongoing professional development through networks, membership of registered professional organisations or equivalent.
Current Manual Australian Driver's Licence.
A genuine passion and desire to improve health and safety in Queensland's oil and gas industry.
