Primary objective: Provide high-level client-focused services and specialist technical advice regarding the creation, design, production, and geospatial analysis of maps, plans, and datasets to facilitate informed decision-making and consultation by government, industry, and the community.
Key duties and responsibilities: Provide high-level technical advice regarding the design, development, and delivery of geospatial mapping services and data collection, manipulation, storage, and application.Provide timely and cost-effective client-focused geospatial mapping and data products and services.Contribute to the development and achievement of group objectives in a busy work environment.Actively contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for innovative solutions.Lead and participate in the implementation of new technologies in geospatial mapping and data-related services.Implement complex projects to improve service delivery.Selection criteria: Essential: Relevant qualification awarded by an Australian institute or equivalent; or relevant experience in a closely related technical field.Experience with geospatial and drafting applications, such as QGIS.Strong knowledge and proven experience in delivering geospatial mapping and data products.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and convey technical information to a range of clients.Proven ability to plan and organize assigned tasks in a responsive service environment.Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and innovative practices.Sound communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.Desirable: Experience with spatial data manipulation tools such as FME.Knowledge of the land development lifecycle and its dependence on quality spatial information. #J-18808-Ljbffr
