What you'll contribute to: An exciting opportunity has become available for Regional General Manager – Townsville, Mt Isa, Longreach.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate has overall responsibility for the strategic and operational management of the Regional Airport's facilities to optimise customer experience and airline passenger growth in a reliable, safe and efficient environment.
Based predominantly in Townsville, this is a permanent full-time position that would suit a senior leader with a depth of experience in Operations.
The incumbent in this role will provide effective leadership to the team across QAL's Regional Airports, collaborate with stakeholders across QAL Group and engage with the community to maintain the reputation of the company as a key contributor to social and economic wellbeing of the North Queensland Communities.

Key deliverables/responsibilities include but are not limited to: Ensure the Regional Airport's facilities remains fit for purpose and are always operationally capable of facilitating aircraft in a safe, secure, reliable, and efficient manner consistent with acceptable levels of service.
Ensure runway and apron capacity and availability are aligned with forecast aircraft requirements.
Ensure compliance to all government mandated legislative and regulatory requirements with an emphasis on safety and security regulations.
Develop and maintain close and positive relationships with industry, media, political, defence and community representatives enabling informed decisions regarding the Airport and/or local communities.
Manage the delivery of a proactive maintenance program for all assets.
Manage the airport terminals to deliver the required airline performance, customer experience and business outcomes.
Achievement of agreed financial, people, assets, aviation, social and environmental targets established for each financial year through the development and implementation of effective strategies and action plans.
