We have an exciting senior leadership opportunity for a Regional Financial Controller to join our Finance team based in Perth. This is a hybrid role based in Bibra Lake and/or Perth City and is full-time, however flexible working arrangements will also be considered.
The Applus+ Pacific Finance team comprises of specialists across all areas of Finance, Payroll and Accounting. Reporting to the Executive Vice President (EVP), the Regional Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing a small but efficient team.
About the Role We have a dynamic and exciting opportunity for a Regional Financial Controller to lead our finance department across the Pacific and be a valued member of a strong and focused leadership team. Reporting to the EVP, the Regional Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the finance team across the Pacific and take charge of shaping the financial strategy and driving operational efficiency. This dynamic role combines strategic leadership, financial expertise, and collaboration with senior leadership to ensure the business thrives in a competitive landscape. Your key responsibilities in this role include: Oversee critical financial operations including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and statutory compliance (FBT, BAS, superannuation, and insurances).Implement and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.2. Financial Reporting & Strategy Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, cash flow forecasting, and reconciliations to deliver actionable financial insights.Manage statutory reporting, taxation obligations (including Transfer Pricing Compliance), and ensure alignment with IFRS standards.Develop financial strategies, analysing data to guide decision-making and drive business success.3. Cash Flow & Business Planning Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency.Formulate business plans, providing financial and commercial insights for growth initiatives.4. Budgeting & Leadership Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, aligning with the region's strategic financial plans.Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team on strategic initiatives and key projects.Inspire and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Identify and mitigate financial risks across investments, capital structure, and market conditions.6. Stakeholder Engagement Communicate financial performance and strategy to internal stakeholders, investors, analysts, and regulatory bodies.Act as a trusted advisor to the EVP, contributing to strategic planning and business development initiatives.About you You will ideally have the following skills and experience: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, with CPA or CA certification.Proven expertise in financial control, compliance, and risk management.Experience in managing Joint Ventures and inorganic integrations is an advantage.Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence across all organizational levels.Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team.About the business Applus+ has grown into a leading service provider across the Pacific, recognized for our unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation.
