About the ProjectThe Preschool Loans Program is a new initiative that loans educational resource kits to preschools to enhance scientific literacy, respect for First Nations cultures, and responsibility for the natural world. Designed for various learning abilities, the kits offer an object-based learning approach. The program aims to expand across regional NSW through community hubs.
Currently in the proof-of-concept stage with a prototype tested in a few Sydney preschools, an impact study has assessed its effectiveness. The next steps involve piloting with 2-3 community hubs, developing a digital component, and refining the impact evaluation framework.
About the RoleThe Regional Education Lead will manage and deliver high-quality education programs for early years audiences, ensuring they meet pedagogical standards and audience needs while showcasing community knowledge. The role involves liaising with stakeholders like governments and community organizations to enhance capacity in NSW communities.
Employment Status: Clerk Grade 7/8Fixed termPart-time, 28 hours per weekContracted until June 30, 2025Salary range: $106,025 - $113,746 (pro-rated) plus superannuation and leave loading.
About YouThe ideal candidate will have experience in program development and relationship building, particularly with early years audiences in regional NSW.
