Salary commensurate with experience  The Role    ABC News is seeking a Regional Editor with fresh and creative ideas, good people management, and a sharp strategic brain to drive and shape regional coverage for Victoria that aligns with ABC strategy and supports the achievement of News objectives.
Based in regional Victoria or Melbourne, this role will provide editorial and people leadership to regional teams to drive distinctive and compelling regional and rural content across multiple platforms, while also working closely and collaboratively with the Melbourne newsroom, as well as leading Emergency Broadcasting for regional Victoria.
The Job Lead and inspire regional Victorian teams to deliver high quality content across platforms, including Local Radio.
Lead Emergency Broadcasting in Regional Victoria.
Plan coverage of events and drive the commissioning of high-value, high-impact regional stories.
Build a capable, motivated and skilled workforce.
Monitor and review regional and rural content and support Local Editors to build audience reach and engagement through national platforms.
About You  You will have outstanding editorial leadership skills, with significant experience in leading teams, developing talent and driving a high-performance culture You'll have:  Proven track record at a senior level in content planning, gathering and delivery.
Demonstrated experience in developing content strategies and/or initiatives to build audience reach and engagement.
Experience in building an inclusive and supportive culture where diversity is valued.
Demonstrated strategic skills, and evidence of high-level collaboration.
