Be part of something bigger. This role is crucial in facilitating high-quality patient care across health centers in the Miwatj region through Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities.
The position involves collaborating with clinical staff to implement and oversee quality improvement initiatives, data management, and clinical governance systems.
The goal is to enhance health outcomes by employing methods such as clinical audits, process mapping, and systems assessments, ensuring that services are continuously improved and aligned with best practices.
Successful applicants will have access to a range of benefits, including: Attractive salary ranging from $119,634 - $128,524 per annum11.5% superannuation contributionsDarwin Based OfficeAbility to Salary Package up to $15,900pa plus a further $2,650pa on Meals and EntertainmentAbout Miwatj Miwatj Health is an independent Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Service.
Established in 1992, we're committed to securing quality health care services across the East Arnhem and enabling Yol?u powered community health and wellbeing.
Miwatj provides culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care to over 6,000 remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents across 3 East Arnhem wards.
With a Head Office in Nhulunbuy, Miwatj also manages a Corporate Office in Darwin, 7 fixed clinics across the East Arnhem region, and dedicated outreach teams who travel to 3 additional locations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to Aboriginal Community Control and self-determination, along with an understanding of the challenges faced by Yol?u people in remote settings.
They should possess the ability to motivate staff and facilitate change in a high-pressure, culturally diverse environment.
Experience in CQI management, accreditation processes, and the ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal communities are essential.
Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills are also required, as well as a willingness to travel frequently to remote communities.
