Based in Adelaide, this exciting opportunity will be responsible for supporting our Port Pirie and Hobart operations by managing supplier relationships to ensure alignment with capital project strategies and objectives.Your expertise will challenge technical specifications, commercial practices, operating practices and business processes to focus on driving cost-effective solutions, while supporting the execution and delivery of the annual capital plan.Major responsibilities and duties of roleLead the integration of an effective cross-functional capital procurement process within the Capital Projects team to identify cost optimisation strategies early on.Develop strategies to involve Procurement in the strategic planning phase of projects, integrating market intelligence and commodity trends for informed packaging and contracting strategies.Ensure effective project planning, integration management, and identification of value drivers to manage cost, quality, and schedule.Conduct stakeholder mapping and requirement analysis, developing short, medium, and long-term strategies to support project and business objectives.Drive alignment between competing value drivers of different stakeholders to realise cost improvement opportunities and support successful project delivery.Qualifications, Skills & Experiences:Tertiary qualification (Procurement, Business, Commerce, Law or related discipline) with Category Management expertise, ideally gained within mining, metals, heavy or manufacturing industries.Significant experience in Procurement / Supply Chain function, with strong capital and projects exposure.Demonstrated experience in managing and conducting supplier negotiations maximising price and value adds while ensuring alignment with needs of the business and internal customers.ApplicationsClick Apply to submit your application including a cover letter, resume.Please note you must have unrestricted valid rights to work in Australia.
