About Our Client
Our customer is a leading supplier of quality chemicals and customised solutions to the mining sector. With technical, operations, and finance teams in Port Melbourne, they strive to provide the best customer service. Due to a replacement, they are looking to hire a Regional Business Development Manager for the SA, WA, Indian, and Indonesian markets. In this role, you will travel once per month. A key aspect of the role is managing existing stakeholders and creating new ones in the pipeline.
Job Description
Represent the company in customer interactions, looking after customers in the SA, WA, and South-East Asian markets.
Build sustainable existing and new relationships and act as the internal voice of the customer.
Work towards mutual agreements with clients on incoterms and requirements to obtain the best deal for the company while being aware of financial implications.
Proactively prospect and qualify leads to build a robust sales pipeline, developing growth strategies and plans to target new business opportunities.
Provide operational solutions to customer needs, ensuring effective supplier and logistics solutions, and working closely with the Administration Team and Financial Controller.
Develop timely and accurate market intelligence by researching business opportunities, industry trends, and viable income streams, while cultivating relationships with key decision-makers.
Ensure compliance with all HSEC systems and processes, legal obligations, and quality manual requirements, participating in reviews and audits of the quality system.
The Successful Applicant
Over 5 years of experience in a commercial role, preferably within the chemical, manufacturing, logistics, or industrial industries.
Basic understanding of Incoterms and the ability to strategically manage them with customers.
Proven sales and negotiation skills, consistently exceeding targets and driving revenue growth.
Capability to develop new stakeholders within existing customer accounts, ensuring strong and lasting relationships.
Willingness to travel nationally or internationally once per month to support business activities and customer relationships.
Must have full work rights to live and work in Australia.
