We are looking for a Regional Biosecurity Lead Central to join our Biosecurity Queensland team to:
Effectively engage with key regional stakeholders & act as a conduit between local governments, industry & the regional communities to identify biosecurity priorities within the region.Provide expert strategic advice & support to the Minister, Director-General & Chief Biosecurity Officer & programs to enable Biosecurity Queensland to provide statewide leadership in Biosecurity.ResponsibilitiesAs our Regional Biosecurity Lead Central, you will be responsible for driving high-level strategic advice & engagement activities for Biosecurity Queensland.

Are dedicated to successfully & strategically engaging with local governments, industry, and the regional communities to support Biosecurity initiatives.Effectively advocate for Biosecurity Queensland's interests, provide advice & counsel to the Minister, Director-General, and Chief Biosecurity Officer, and programs on Biosecurity matters.Are actively contributing & leading a high-performing regionally dispersed team.Manage, lead & champion high-level Biosecurity initiatives throughout the relevant regions.Establish a stronger ongoing regional presence for Biosecurity Queensland through the establishment of regional hubs.Biosecurity Queensland plays a vital role in securing the state's agricultural prosperity and preserving and protecting the health of our environment and economy.

Strategy, Investment and Performance (SIP) delivers a range of services to support Biosecurity Queensland (BQ).
SIP partners with BQ program areas to provide specialised advice on best business practice and technology to serve internal (and sometimes external) customers and business stakeholders.
Position DetailsThis position is available in the Central Regional boundary as per locality map.
