Description: ConsMin produces some of the world's highest grade manganese ore and is considered a world leader in manganese mining. Our ConsMin Australian operation (Woodie Woodie) is based in the WA Pilbara, 407kms south-east of Port Hedland. The Refrigeration Technician will primarily carry out preventative maintenance on commercial refrigeration systems for the mine site. Reporting to the Supervisor Non-Processing Infrastructure (NPI), the successful applicant will be required to:
Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on commercial air-conditioning and refrigeration systems in camp and on site. Service and maintain chilled water systems, commercial APAC units, and split systems. Handle all aspects of installation, repair, maintenance, testing, commissioning, diagnosis, and/or fault finding within a camp and on-site environment. Perform all work activities aligned to industry safety standards with associated experience in risk awareness and risk mitigation strategies. Requirements to be successful in this role are: Minimum manual C class drivers' license. Previous experience in a Refrigeration maintenance role within FIFO environment. Possess a Restricted WA Electrical Worker License and Refrigerant Handling License. Trade Qualified Refrigeration Mechanic Certificate. Current High-risk Forklift ticket license (LF) - desirable. Strong commitment to following health, safety, and environment policies and procedures. Excellent organisational, communication skills, and high attention to detail. Willingness to improve and add knowledge to the team. Applicants must be able to pass a full pre-employment medical, provide a clean NPC (dated within the last 6 months or able to obtain), and provide valid references.
