Our strategy is to focus on creating a safe work environment where our employees feel strongly connected to our values and objectives, and where the capability of our people is key to our success.Come and be a part of this success.About the RoleReporting to the Housing Maintenance Supervisor, the Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Technician will undertake day-to-day preventative maintenance activities and breakdown repairs in a safe and efficient manner to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and liveability in our Newman Residential Houses, Newman FIFO accommodation, and Eco Villages.Other responsibilities include:Undertake preventative maintenance inspections of plant and equipment;Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development;Ensure adequate scoping of corrective work to facilitate the planning process;Cultivate positive relationships through effective communication and consultation;Take a proactive role in maintaining appropriate standards of behaviour;Participate within the Housing Department to implement business plans consistent with site strategies/ plans;Monitor the Housing Maintenance work plan and elevate unplanned and non-routine activity or performance to the Supervisor;Perform all aspects of planned, breakdown and shutdown activities in regard to housing maintenance;Carry out system-generated on and offline inspections.LocationYou will be working across our Newman Housing Portfolio on a residential or FIFO arrangement.
