The Role Copper Refineries are currently advertising a full-time vacancy that exists in the Cathode Production Department for the role of Refinery Operator.
Reporting to the Supervisor - Production, this role will require you to contribute to the safe production of copper cathode, associated handling of electrolyte, and the operation of the Tank House.
You will be responsible for operating a comprehensive range of industrial machinery to the required standards.
This position is residentially based in Townsville and requires you to work a 12-hour day shift, on a 4 days on / 4 days off roster.
Occasionally you may be required to be flexible in terms of work times and rosters.
The successful candidates will have: Aptitude for mechanical equipment operation,Troubleshooting and solution-seeking skills,Current manual driver's licence,Current forklift qualification,Ability to tolerate physically demanding work.You will also possess a proactive approach to safety, sound communication and interpersonal skills, as well as high attention to detail.
You will have a self-starting attitude and be able to accept individual responsibility within a work team.
