Referral Triage Clinician (Access) 2 Permanent Full Time Positions Available! 80hrs per fortnight (with monthly ADO) - EFT / hours negotiable About Bass Coast Health Bass Coast Health (BCH) is the sub-regional health service for the Bass Coast and South Gippsland Shires, with sites at Wonthaggi, Cowes, San Remo. Position Summary We are looking for three experienced clinicians who are passionate about safe and quality consumer care. This position is responsible for providing clinical oversight to support the effective triaging of referrals to outpatient services at Bass Coast Health. The role will provide triage outcomes so that referred patients receive the required care in an appropriate timeframe. The role is also responsible for development and maintenance of strong relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., Outpatients team, Medical Specialists, Allied Health team leaders, Access coordinators, external referrers). Dependent on qualifications, the position will focus on referrals made to medical specialist services or allied health services. Requirements of the position are: MANDATORY: • Relevant Allied Health or Nursing qualification (or recognised equivalent) • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) • Excellent written and oral communication skills, public relations skills, and organisational skills • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, conflict resolution and solution-oriented problem-solving skills • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team • Computer literacy, including accurate typing and data entry skills with strong attention to detail • A valid Police Check • Working With Children Check • NDIS Worker Screening Check • COVID-19 Vaccination in accordance with the Chief Health officer -COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination Directions • Healthcare to whom the mandatory vaccination (influenza vaccination) directions apply, will be required to be vaccinated annually DESIRABLE: • Demonstrated knowledge of Person-Centred Care and Service Coordination • Experience in using iPM, Mastercare and Microsoft (e.g. Excel) software programs • An understanding of the principles of continuous quality improvement and demonstrated skills and initiative in service development, evaluation, quality activities and / or research • Demonstrated ability to impart knowledge to multi-disciplinary staff and to members of the community What's in it for you?
